How long has Stock Photography been around?
Stock Photography has been in existence
for most of the 20th century. It has increased steadily
over the past 10-15 years, with most of the growth in
the last 5. Part of the reason for this rapid growth is
due to sustained growth in home PC sales, dependence on
the Internet, as well as increased sophistication of small
to mid-sized businesses marketing their own products.

What does "Royalty Free Stock Photography"
mean?
Royalty Free Stock Photography means the
stock photos are available for personal or commercial
use. No additional fees are required on a per use basis.
Once purchased the images may be used as creatively or
as often as you like. Royalty Free stock photography is
generally more cost effective as they generally have few
restrictions.
What does Rights Protected mean?
Rights Protected means images are sold on
a per use or application specific basis. Fees are generally
higher as they require more administration by both the
buyer and seller. Images are in this category to restrict
access to prevent over use.

What is a JPEG (JPG File)?
JPEG is a standardized image compression
mechanism written by the Joint Photographic Experts Group.
This is the original name of the committee that wrote
the standard. JPEG is designed for compressing either
full-color or gray-scale images of natural, "real-world"
photographs.
What is a model release?
A model release is a signed release by the
person(s) depicted in an image. In the release the person
depicted in the image gives consent for his or her likeness
to be used for commercial purposes -- including advertising,
publishing, promotion, etc. (as set forth in the release).
What is a property release?
A property release is a signed released
by the owner(s) of property depicted in a stock image.
In the release, the owner gives consent for the image
depicting his or her property to be used for commercial
purposes -- including advertising, publishing, promotion,
etc. (as set forth in the release).
Why are your images watermarked?
Watermarks prevent the theft of images;
tampering any copying or stealing of an image from off
ones computer screen.
